Howdy.
Has anyone figured out any tunes that aren't in the archive?
If you have, you should post them there! I'm especially interested in
gamehenge tab, from any song.
I'm not good enough yet to figure them out, or probably even to play them,
but hopefully as soon as I am someone will have replied to this message.

Could someone please tell me how to unsubscribe to the phish list group
at virgina.edu. Iv'e sent several messages with no scuess. My roommate
subscribed me to this garbage when I left my computer for a moment, and
can't remember how to get off. What is the correct address for the
"digestifier" for phish-request@virgiana.edu? I notice that quite a few
people have this same problem. You should really consider having a faq
file posted frequently like other newsgroups. thanks

Boy Man...
First off - in re: to whoever posted complaining that the live album
will only cover the fall 94 tour (w/ exception of Great Woods and '93
NYE) - I'm fairly sure that the reason for this is that live album
material can't simply be taken from a sbd. source. While DAT machines
and sbd.'s may sound great and crisp for tape trading, when making an
official release to be put out on a major label you need tracking, etc.
Maybe even an ADAT machine was used. For ex. the Cosmic Krewe show at
Club Toast last week was going to be recorded for CD but there wasn't the
right equipt.
Talking of M. Ray and Cosmic Krewe, where are tapes of this show to be found?
LSD tree- did this structure ever really come out?
It may be interesting to note that when I talked to Fishman in Montreal
this summer he said that he didn't care for the Leguna Seca Daze shows
this year..."We know now never to play a festival two years in a row." I
said, "But what about jamming with Les Claypool?" and he replied "That
was great but there are so many other places we could have jammed with
him." He didn't feel Phish were at their best those two nights. Don't
flame me; I'm just telling you what he said. I haven't even heard these
shows yet (tree structure..hint hint)
Sharin the groove,
Benjy

Hey y'all, to those of you concerned about your tapes from Mescalito,
rest assured he is a kind trader. He hooked me up very nicely and I'm
sure you will to. Let's just chill for a while with the "a week's gone by
and I haven't got my tapes yet" on all parts. Phish is great, phish is good,
but there is a lot of stuff that takes precedence over them for some
people. The scene is still relatively chill, let's just sit back and take
a collective deep breathe and remember patience is a virtue...

Since everyone's been talking about Leftover Salmon, my friend and I saw them
at the Wetlands in NYC a couple of weeks ago. Actually, the band that opened
for them, Accoustic Forum, we thought was better. They played total bluegrass
stuff and played a really cool version of "Love The One Your With" and ended
the show with an awesome "Runaway Jim". They're from Buffalo so if you're out
that way I suggest you check them out (I heard they might be moving to NYC
though).
P.S. I'm interested in possible trades. I have about 20 hours of music
(mostly 93 and 94). I really want Atlanta 2/20/93 set II adn Palace Theater,
Albany set II. If interested e-mail me @

I think you should relax and then reread my message. I made no blanket
statements regarding members of AOL. I did not recommend that people
avoid trading with AOL subscribers. If you read the whole message, I
pointed out several things to be careful of (which you failed to quote).
Shall we break down the paragraph you quoted and evaluate each sentence?
Here goes:
>>You all should now that America Online and many other
>>services offer free trial accounts for a limited amount of time (in AOL's
>>case, 10 hours).
This is a fact. No pigeonholing here. No McCarthy sentiments.
>>Alot of unscrupulous people are taking advantage of
>>these free trials to perform "hit and runs".
This is also true. Ask the people who tried trading with jpenn. And there
is quite alot of advertisement spamming being sent out from these trial
accounts. I always contact the postmasters at these sites when I come
across a spam. I've been informed in 90% of the cases that these messages
originated from trial accounts.
In neither of those two sentences did I ever state that AOL'ers were
assholses. There were no blanket statements.
> But that doesn't mean I don't have 1000 hrs of live tapes or
>that my tapes suck or that I'm going to rip you off. It's really
>irritating to hear people talk about AOL like you have to pass some kind

I'll make a deal with you: If you can quote where I said anything
resembling the above statement, I will give up this free account, and get
myself a subscription to AOL.
>jb, who remebers the days when "edu" people were the
>target-assholes-of-choice (anyone remember the big DICK/DACK controversy a

I've been on the Allmusic mailing list since 1991, and the only flames
there are for stupidity. No domains are immune from that. 8)

P.S. No, I wasn't implying that you are stupid.

oh lord- I predicted it but hoped I was wrong. Last night my brother
was flipping channels and when mtv came on the screen, I heard the
familiar "what would you say" as a *buzz clip*. This means our boys are
in rotation every hour or so with bands like greenday, appeling to all
those who eat whatever Mtv spoons them. we can only hope it's a fad.
